Krauss' Bean Soup

Chef: Mark Krauss - Plant Manager - Sebewaing, MI

2 lbs. ( 4 cups) Co op Elevator® dry Michigan Navy Beans
8 cups water
1 smoked pork hock
½ lb. smoked ham chopped  
1 small onion
¼ lb. carrots chopped
¼ lb. celery chopped 2 tsp. chicken seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Dash of vinegar before serving

Soak beans in water overnight. Pour beans with water in slow cooker. Combine rest of ingredients. Cook in crock pot on low 8-10 hours or high 5- 5 ½ hours until beans are tender.  Makes a thick soup.
